An island on an island on an island

A few weeks ago I wrote about an island on an island on a landmass. Today I found this website which shows an island on an island on an island. Pretty cool! Zoom out on the map below to see the nested islands.

There is a puddle…

…on an island…

…in a lake (Crater Lake)…

…on an island (Volcano Island)…

…in a lake (Taal Lake)…

…on an island (Luzon, Philipines)…

…in the ocean.

  1. Interesting post.

I found this city in Argentina that has unusual symmetry–alternating diamonds, circles, and squares within a rounded square.,+ar&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=33.984987,56.337891&ie=UTF8&ll=-34.92183,-57.950306&spn=0.068686,0.110035&t=h&z=13

Not exactly the same idea, but I thought it was pretty cool.

    • That’s beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
